Lomingo — Couple Questions & Conversations
Effective date: September 25, 2026 · Last updated: September 25, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Lomingo (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Lomingo mobile application (the “App”).

Lomingo is a couples question-and-conversation app. You answer questions, optionally share them with a partner using a public Lomingo ID, and unlock answers only after both of you have responded. There is no traditional registration — no email, phone number, or password is required to use the core features.

By installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Who we are

The App is published under the package name associated with Lomingo on Google Play. For privacy-related requests, contact us using the details in Section 14.

3. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the App and deliver its features. We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or photos from your device library unless you explicitly choose to save or share a card image.

3.1 Information you provide or generate in the App

Account & identity

  • Anonymous Firebase Auth ID — a unique internal identifier created automatically when you first open the App. It is not shown to you or other users.
  • Lomingo ID — a short public identifier (e.g. LOM-7K4P2) used to connect with a partner. You choose when to share it.
  • Personalization choices — optional goals (e.g. “Deeper Connection”) and usage mode (“with partner” or “solo”).
  • Partner connection — if you connect with someone, we store the link between your account and theirs so shared question sessions work.

Content you create

  • Answers — text you write in response to questions. Answers are stored so they can be revealed to your partner only after both of you have answered (enforced by server-side rules).
  • Favorites — questions or sessions you mark as favorite.
  • Custom cards — any custom question cards you create.

Local device data

  • Preferences — onboarding completion, local settings, and similar flags stored on your device (e.g. via SharedPreferences).
  • Images you generate — if you save or share a rendered card/screenshot, the image is created on your device and handled by the system share sheet or gallery only when you initiate that action. We do not upload your gallery contents.

3.2 Information collected automatically

3.3 Information we do not collect

We do not request or intentionally collect: real names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, precise GPS location, microphone/camera audio/video, SMS, or browsing history outside the App.

4. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your answers or partner data for advertising profiles.

6. How we share information

We share information only in these cases:

We do not sell personal information and do not share it with third parties for their independent advertising.

7. Third-party services

The App relies on the following providers. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies:

Service Purpose More info
Google Firebase
(Auth, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Functions)
Anonymous authentication, database, push delivery, backend logic Firebase Privacy
OneSignal Push notification delivery and device tokens OneSignal Privacy
Google Play Billing Subscriptions and in-app purchases Google Privacy

When you use system share or save-to-gallery features, the image stays under your control on your device or is shared only with the apps you select.

8. Data retention

We retain your account data, answers, favorites, custom cards, and partner connection information for as long as your account exists and is needed to provide the service. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize personal data associated with it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited information for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Local preferences remain on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the App. Push tokens are kept only while needed to deliver notifications.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including:

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for only sharing your Lomingo ID with people you trust.

10. Children’s privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and older (or the minimum digital consent age in your country, if higher). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Some question packs (e.g. Intimate, Spicy) contain mature themes. Parents and guardians should review suitability for their household.

11. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account holder (e.g. via your Lomingo ID or internal account identifiers).

In-app and device controls

California residents: we do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may still contact us to exercise access, deletion, and non-discrimination rights.

12. International transfers

Our service providers (including Google Firebase and OneSignal) may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are used. By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data-protection laws than your own.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version in the App or at the same URL and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated via an in-app notice or other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
